Parent & Family Dance Lessons
A father-daughter, mother-son, or other family dance is an opportunity to recognize an important relationship and share a special family moment together. These can be extremely sentimental moments and milestones. Our lessons help participants feel comfortable and prepared, so they can enjoy the dance have memories to cherish forever.
We tailor your instruction to your music, experience, and preferred style. Your dance can be as simple or complex as your like with a few steps and turns, a more detailed routine, or an upbeat mashup of different songs. We work with you to choose a dance tailored to you. No previous dance experience is necessary, and we can help with song selection if you don’t already have one picked out.
Lessons can be a fun way to bring family members and the wedding party together before the celebration. A private or small-group lesson offers time to connect, learn something new, and feel prepared to break out the moves during the reception.
Lesson Options & Pricing
We offer private lessons, semi-private lessons, and group instruction for families and wedding parties. Our published wedding dance rates apply to private lessons only. Semi-private and group lessons may be priced differently, depending on the number of participants and the instruction requested.

Remote & Long-Distance Lesson Options
Do you live far from the wedding couple and/or wedding venue? We can discuss Zoom lessons, in-person instruction during planned visits, or a combination of both. With advance notice, we can help coordinate a lesson plan around the time you have available together.
Zoom & Distance Lessons
Remote lessons can help you begin preparing before your next visit. Let us know where each participant lives, and we can discuss how to structure the instruction and practice between sessions to help you get the most out of your remote lessons.
Lessons During Planned Visits
A visit for a shower, bachelorette party, dress fitting, or other wedding preparations may also provide an opportunity for lessons. We can discuss scheduling several sessions during one visit or continuing your instruction over a series of trips.
Lessons Before the Wedding
If you will be arriving shortly before the wedding, contact us as early as possible. With sufficient notice and instructor availability, we can try to arrange lessons during your stay and focus on what is achievable in the time available. For an additional travel fee, we may even be able to travel to your wedding location and do a lesson onsite the week or a day or two before your wedding.
Please share anticipated travel dates when you inquire, even if your plans are tentative. Early coordination gives us the best opportunity to accommodate everyone’s schedules.
Pre-Wedding Parties & Family Celebrations
Engagement parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, bridal and couple showers, welcome parties, and rehearsal dinners offer opportunities for family and friends to spend time together before the wedding. We can provide dance instruction, music, and entertainment for these gatherings, as well as the wedding itself, with services tailored to each occasion.
Rehearsal Dinners & Welcome Parties
A shared dance activity can introduce guests to one another and bring both families together. Consider a short partner-dance lesson, line dancing, or guided guest dancing, with DJ and lighting services available for the celebration.
