Student Performance & Competition Coaching
Build your dancing through performance and competition.
For students who want a motivating goal and focused training, Amanda and Corey offer paid coaching for couples who already dance together, professional-partner services, custom choreography, and preparation for showcases, event performances, Pro-Am spotlights, and Ballroom, West Coast Swing, and Country competitions.

Looking to hire Amanda and Corey as professional performers for an event? That is a separate service.

Ways to perform or compete
You do not need to be an advanced dancer to work toward a performance goal. These are structured, paid learning experiences. We help you choose an opportunity that matches your experience, interests, comfort level, preparation time, and budget.
Local Studio Showcases
Use private coaching to prepare a routine for a supportive audience at a local studio showcase. This can be a comfortable first performance experience, a motivating goal, or a way to celebrate your progress.
Performances at Events
When appropriate opportunities are available, we can prepare students for community events, themed dance nights, demonstrations, and other programs featuring student dancers. Placement depends on the needs of each event.
Pro-Am Competitions
Dance with Amanda or Corey as your paid professional partner. Pro-Am events can include single-dance heats, multi-dance events, scholarships, and championships at a wide range of levels.
Pro-Am Spotlights
Work with us through paid private coaching to prepare a choreographed routine built around a song, theme, or character. Spotlights combine technique, musicality, performance quality, and your own personality.
Coaching for every kind of partnership
Train for competition or prepare a custom routine
You do not have to compete with Amanda or Corey as your professional partner. Whether you are an individual dancer, a line dance competitor, or an amateur couple who already dances together, we can coach you through paid private lessons and help you prepare for the experience or occasion ahead.
Competition Coaching for Amateur Students
Whether you compete individually or with an amateur partner, we can help you prepare through paid private coaching. We coach Ballroom, Country partner dance, West Coast Swing, and line dance competitors, with attention to technique, musicality, presentation, division strategy, floorcraft, partnership when applicable, and competition readiness.
Showcase & Performance Preparation
We can coach you individually or with your partner for studio showcases, community events, demonstrations, and other performance opportunities. Lessons can include choreography, routine polishing, movement quality, musical interpretation, staging, and building confidence for the floor or stage.
Wedding & Special-Event Choreography
We create choreography for weddings, quinceañeras, bar and bat mitzvahs, birthday and anniversary parties, and other celebrations. Your routine can draw from Ballroom, Country, West Coast Swing, or a blend of styles, tailored to your music, experience, event, and goals.
More than one competition path
Ballroom, West Coast Swing, and Country
Because Amanda and Corey teach across several dance communities, students can train for the style and competition format that interests them most.
Ballroom Competitions
Compete in American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Standard, or International Latin. Options may include Pro-Am, amateur couples, single-dance events, multi-dance events, and choreographed showcases.
West Coast Swing Competitions
Prepare for Jack & Jill, Strictly Swing, Pro-Am, spotlight, or routine divisions. Coaching can focus on partnership, improvisation, musicality, presentation, and the expectations of your chosen division.
Country Competitions
Compete in Country partner dances, line dance, couples divisions, Pro-Am events, or choreographed routines. Depending on the event, dances may include Two-Step, Waltz, Nightclub Two-Step, Triple Two-Step, Polka, Cha Cha, swing dances, and more.
Coaching for the full process
Preparation that goes beyond choreography
We help you understand what you are preparing for, build a realistic plan, and develop the skills needed to feel ready when you step onto the floor.
Performance and competition preparation is offered through paid private coaching. Depending on the opportunity, students may also be responsible for professional-partner fees, choreography, entry fees, travel, costumes, tickets, or other event expenses. We discuss the likely commitment and costs before you decide to proceed.
