FALL 2026 WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Classes resume Wednesday, September 9th, 2026. Classes normally meet every Wednesday from 6:00–8:00 p.m. There will be no class on November 4th or November 25th. The final fall class will be December 9th.
Location: Bloomberg Student Center, Room 213
6:00–6:45 P.M.
Intermediate Class
Technique, partnering skills, and material for students with prior dance experience.
6:45–7:30 P.M.
Beginner Class
Foundational timing, patterns, and lead-and-follow skills for newer dancers.
7:30–8:00 P.M.
Practice Time
Review the evening’s material, ask questions, and dance with other club members.

These activities are organized as official Johns Hopkins Ballroom Club events for students and club members.

- DCDI (DC DanceSport Inferno):Official Johns Hopkins Ballroom Club competition event. Date, participation, and travel details will beannounced by club leadership.

ABOUT AMANDA & COREY
Amanda and Corey have taught and competed in all four styles of ballroom dance: International Standard, International Latin, American Smooth, and American Rhythm. They bring extensive teaching and competition experience to their work with the Johns Hopkins Ballroom Club.
Amanda began ballroom dancing at age 14 and has earned five national amateur titles through USA Dance. She has since expanded her experience to include a variety of other dance styles. Corey has taught ballroom dancing for more than 30 years and has received a Top Teacher award at the prestigious Ohio Star Ball.
Their broader teaching experience includes West Coast Swing, Country partner dancing, line dance, wedding dance instruction, and social dancing. As teachers and coaches, they emphasize sound technique, musicality, effective partnering, and the confidence to enjoy both social dancing and competition.
Amanda and Corey find great enjoyment and satisfaction in teaching and coaching the Johns Hopkins Ballroom Club. They value the opportunity to support students as they develop their skills, prepare for competitions, and discover the enjoyment of dancing together.
