Choose your path
Whether you want a first dance, a new social skill, stronger technique, or a competitive goal, we shape the instruction around the way you want to dance.
Private Lessons
Individualized instruction for one person, a couple, or a small semi-private group. Your lesson can focus on social confidence, technique, choreography, or competition preparation.
$100 per 45-minute lesson with one instructor. Lessons with both Amanda and Corey are available at a different rate.
Group Classes
Learn with other adults in a welcoming class setting. Offerings change throughout the year and may include Ballroom, Latin, Hustle, swing, and other partner dances.
Competition & Performance
Explore local showcases, event performances, Pro-Am competitions, Pro-Am spotlights, and competition opportunities in Ballroom, West Coast Swing, and Country.
A complete Ballroom foundation
American and International styles
We teach all four major competitive Ballroom styles and adapt them for social dancing, recreation, performance, or competition.
American Smooth
Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz. Elegant traveling movement in both closed and open positions.
American Rhythm
Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, and Mambo. From playful and energetic to romantic and expressive.
International Standard
Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep. Continuous partnership, movement, posture, and precision.
International Latin
Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. Rhythm, musicality, body action, speed, and expressive performance.

Performance & competition coaching
Preparation that goes beyond choreography
Coaching is available for Ballroom, West Coast Swing, and Country dancers, including Pro-Am students, amateur couples, collegiate dancers, independent competitors, and students preparing for a showcase or spotlight. Training can include technique, choreography, partnership, musicality, presentation, floorcraft, costuming guidance, and competition strategy.
Performance coaching is also available for showcases, demonstrations, and special projects. We will help you choose an approach that fits your experience, preparation time, and goals.
Experienced, versatile instruction
Meet Amanda & Corey
Corey has taught Ballroom dancing for more than 30 years and competed professionally in Ballroom and Latin. He has received the Top Teacher award at the Ohio Star Ball, one of the country’s best-known Ballroom competitions.
Amanda began Ballroom dancing at age 14 and has taught partner dancing for nearly 20 years. She earned five national amateur titles through USA Dance and brings extensive American and International Ballroom experience.
Together, Amanda and Corey coach the Johns Hopkins University Ballroom Club and competitive team and provide patient, personalized instruction for beginners through advanced dancers. You do not need a partner or prior experience to begin.
